What's in a Name?

Into The Nothingness

Back in 2017, I read a quote that said, "I want to want nothing". This itself was so intriguing that I could not stop myself reading it. I went on and on and finally saved the post on my Instagram handle. Few days passed and I was not able to get over this quote. I kept on reading it for days and months and slowly steadily it became my life. I might not be able to tell you that when exactly I started living my life like this, but there's one thing for which I am so sure that this one-liner changed my life.

I know, you must be reckoning that it took you 3 years to bring this content to papers? Well, yes. But I remember talking about it with people who asked me the meaning of it, I still do. Now it became my identity in the college. Every passer-by used to call me, "Hey, @intothenothingnesss", reason being it was my Instagram username now. I inculcated these words so well and felt like a soul setting herself free.

Let me not get the time machine to the past and let's start knowing how this helped me out. "I want to want nothing" tells me that you can always dream but without greed. You can always have aspirations but complete them without harming yourself. This coincidentally brings me to the demise of a great actor the last day. No, I am not saying he was greedy but knowingly or unknowingly he hurt himself and made him take this great step (well, not here to discuss the life he had, we never know what someone is going through), but all I want to say is that you will always have WANTS and NEEDS which doesn't has a full stop. To deal with them is the challenge.

Growing up, I wanted everything, wanted to travel everywhere, see each corner and then take pictures and guess what, write about them. Sometimes, these dreams made me so happy and you can always see my splendorous eyes while talking about them, but then, thinking more and reckoning over them for a while, they choked me. Yes, they choked me for real and I could not breathe. This was a recurring event until I found my solace here.

Dreaming is never a problem. The problem lies in your thought process. When you will think of the destination, it will always look implausible, but trust me once you start the journey, you will be satisfied. It will still be cumbersome but you will have faith in yourself and this is something which is required.

Faith. Faith into the nothingness which will lead you to your wholeness.

I started moving swiftly onto the road taking me to my dreams and started loving it. This made me want nothing but to love what I have and cherish the present. All you readers, who thinks something is still missing, try adding value to your life by enjoying everyday. Try by making a schedule on how you would spend a quarter of your day, then lower it down to two hours and an hour maybe. You will have lots of things to do and you will realize that you are just done. This is what you exactly wanted. This is something you were always looking for. It takes time, I know, but it will be a beautiful journey.

Begin today, until next time :)

Do let me know if this simple practice helped you or if you shared this concept of living with a want to want nothing with your acquaintances, and maybe helped them in a way?
